Toddler development

My son is now just over 2 years old, wieghts 20 kg and is 95cm tall. I have 2 questions. Firstly he does not want to follow a healthy eating plan and if we do not argue he will only drink milk all day and not eat at all. How can I make him eat more food and drink less milk?

Secondly, he is slow to talk and would rather make noises and grunts than talk. He can identify a myriad of pictures from books etc but refuses to talk. The words he doed say regulary is less than 25 in total and I am worried. It sometimes seems as if he just can not say it, get frustrated and then stop trying. Your views please.

Your son has got used to drinking milk and now is the time to cut back on his milk intake to just 2 to 3 cups a day.
He will soon start eating once he realises that you mean business.Do not argue with him about eating. He must join the family at all mealtimes.Put his food in front of him and give him a spoon to feed himself. Do not watch him while he eats,in fact don't look at him at all.At the end of the meal don't say a word if he has not finished his food. After a while he will learn to eat by himself and will eat more and more. Remember no arguments about food.
