Toddler Constipation

My 15 months old baby is constantly having a constipation for the past two months. Sometimes she cries when she have to past stools. I am worried about her. I went to the pharmacist to buy something that can help her pass stools easily, but the pharmacist said, I should leave it, as long as she does pass a stool per day. Please advice or help

If your baby has constipated stools it is a reason for concern.First try to give her plenty of fluid to drink especially diluted fruit juice and water. She must also have plenty of fruit to eat and fibre rich foods such as wholewheat bread and Weetbix. If she does not improve she should go onto a short course of a stool softener such as Duphalac liquid.
