Q.

Toddler concerns

Hi My son is 2 1/2 years old, and is drinking and weeing excessively, to the point where he makes himself vomit, yet cries horribly when we don''t want him to drink too much. He is currently drinking around two litres a day, and nothing specific, either rooibos, milk or juice and water, he is potty trained during the day, but still wears night nappies, which need to be changed at least 3 times a night as they are so full, someone mentioned that this could point towards diabetes, is this correct and what do i need to do?

Yes your friend is correct, your son needs to be tested for possible diabetes. His urine should be tested for glucose [sugar] first. Some pharmacies offer this service.
