Tick bite

My 2 year old son went fishing on Sunday with his dad at the Dam in Polokwane. When i was dressing him up after his bath that evening I found a tiny tick between his thigh and private area. My brother pulled the tick out. There are no blackness or lump or anything of that kind in that area. We applied detol immediately to the area. He did have a runny nose prior to the tick bite. There is no temperature. I am just afraid. What should i do?

You have done all the right things so far. It is possible that the tick that bit your son did not carry any disease.I certainly hope that this is the case. Watch him for signs of a fever or if he refuses to eat or develops any skin rashes especially a dark pink or reddish rash on his feet.Take him to a doctor immediately if he develops a fever or a rash.
