Q.

THYROID

What would be the symptoms of hyperthyroidism in a baby under 12 months? Does eating well and no weight gain a sign?

Paediatrician

Hyperthyroidism is rather rare in babies and is usually only a temporary problem. Babies with hyperthyroidism which is an over-active thyroid, usually lose weight and are very active and their hand often tremble. They also usually have a rapid heart beat. If you suspect that your baby may have this problem please take him/her to see your paediatrician.
