Q.

thumb sucking

Hi there

My baby is almost 4 months andshe has found her thumb... I don''t always give her a dummy only once in a while when I can''t seem to calm her down... I notice that now she uses her thumb when she''s hungry, when she wants to sleep... And when she''s playing in an effort to put everything she plauys with in her mouth...
I''ve read that babies use their fingers at this age to discover the world but at what point is it becoming a bad habbit? What can I do to avoid this?

There is no need for concern. This is quite normal at your baby's age and she is probably starting with teething. She will eventually give up ther thumb sucking by herself.
