Q.

Thumb sucking

Hi!
How do i stop my 19 month old girl to stop sucking her thumb? She does it when she is hungry, tired or bored. I tried the stuff that you apply to you nails for nail bitting and she still puts it in her mouth. I can stand the taste of it, but she doesnt care...
Please advice!

This question comes up very often. All children give up thumb sucking by themselves with time. It is very comforting for children to suck their thumbs. Like all habits the more attntion you pay to the habit the more you will reinforce the habit. So try your best to ignore your daughter's thumb sucking and she will give it up by herself.
