Thanks Doc

Hi Doc

Took my baby girl back to the Paed as u suggested....he gave her Losec now for her reflux and have stopped the zantac.

She already seems better (2 days later) she has screamed twice 2day as she actually WANTED her bottle this time.

Is Losec really that much better?? was also just wondering....if her tummy acid is now being reduced does that mean she will be less hungry and more susceptible to tummy problems?? I mean what is the negative side to taking these reflux meds??

And one more thing pls...any top tips on how i should be/should not be giving her the Losec??

Thanks so much for all ur sound advice!!

You are welcome. The Losec is indeed more effective than Zantac and has a longer action as well. Her appetite will not change at all and she will just be more comfortable. She will also not be more susceptible to tummy problmes. You can dissolve the Losec Mups in a little water on a teasoon and try to give it to her directly or add this to her bottle once the granules have dissolved well. This may be a bit diffficult. It is easier to use a generic medicine just like Losec called Omez 10mg which comes in capsules. You can add the contents of a capsule directly to one of her bottles.
