Teeting at 3.5 months

My son is 3 and half months old and have laely started sucking his hands and drooling alot. He would grab anything in sight and starts sucking feociously even though he isn' t hungry and he dribbles so much his bib needs to be changed three times a day. Could it be that he is teething or is it too early?

Also, I have seen Purity' s range for four month old babies and gave him some of the sweetpotato variety an he is loving it withou any digestion problems. He also seems to like rice cereal alot. Should I carry on giving him the Purity? He has doubled his birth weight, pushes himself up onto his arms when on his stomach and can hold his head stable when sitting fully supported which according to the cereal box is the guidelines for starting solids.? He weighs 6.4 kg now and is on Lactogen formula.

Your baby is indeed teething. He is a bit early with this as most babies first show signs of teething at 4 months. You have also started solids much earlier than usual and it is not surprising that he is putting on weight so rapidly. His main source of nutrition now must be his milk. He can have a little rice cereal twice a day.
