Q.

Teething - teething poo or runny stomach

My baby's got a runny stomach since Monday. And she was throwing up once on Monday night and not yet again after that. Her stomach is usually not this runny. I'm trying to re-assure myself saying it's teething, but can she be ill and have a stomach bug. And she's got an extremely bad nappy rash and she screams and cries so much when she makes a wee or a poo. I feel so sorry for her. And I bough "Antipeol" today for the nappy rash. Should I take her to the doctor. I don't want to take her and then they say it's teething. What can I do please.

This is gastro-enteritis which is due to an infection, probably with a virus such as the Rotavirus. This is not due to teething. Ask your paedditrician to see her as she is vomiting as well as having diarrhoea and may become dehydrated..
