Q.

teething symptoms

Hi Dr

my daughter of 10 months has been passing watery yellow stools for the last few days. i don''t think its Diarrhea as she only passes stools about 2 twice a day. She''s teething at the moment. could this be the reason?

She also doesn t want to eat anything. will she be ok just having milk?

Your baby does have diarrhoea and this is not caused by teething. Keep her on her formula but also give her frequent drinks of an electrolyte solution such as Rehidrat. Follow the instructions on the packet carefully. If her diarrhoea does not settle down after another two days or if she starts to vomit she must be seen by a doctor or nurse.
