Teething - Crying a lot

Is it normal for a 9month old boy who is teething to cry a lot - has just started a new creche - was diagnosed with a viral infection a month or so ago. Ruled out meningitis. White cells low. My daughter is rather worried as they dont have medical aid.

Paediatrician

Your grandson may well be crying due to his teething, but his constant crying is worrying. As he seems to pick up infections easily, he may have an ear infection or some other problem. It would be best for him to be seen by a paediatrician even if he attends the out patients department at your local hospital.
