Q.

Teething

Hi Doc.
My boy is 3 months old, and started having a runny tummy, apparently it''s his teeth. He''s not showing any other symptoms though. Friendly as always. I just want to know how long does this tummy thing go on for? I hate for it to burn his bumb like it''s doing. And obviously the teeth are only starting to come into the gums, it''s not going to come out for a long time.

Your baby's runny tummy is not due to teething. He is not showing any signs of teething now and you should probably expect some of the early signs when your baby is 4 months old or even a bit older. There must be another reason for his diarrhoea now. He does not appear to be ill so hopefully he has only a mild gastro infection. He should settle down soon, but if he does'nt please let me know.
