Q.

Teething

Hi Doc

My son is 16mnths old, he seems to be teething, it looks as if his one eye tooth on the top is coming out.
Can teething cause children to get chesty cough and what can i use to ease the pain on his gums as I have used everything from ashton &  parsons to teejel to pansoral and nothing seems to help.

If your son is teething it will not cause him to cough.Rub and massage your baby's gums with your finger. This really helps to soothe teething pain and discomfort. Afterwards apply Pansoral gel which is usually effective in relieving teething pain and discomfort in babies. If your son still seems to have pain give him Panado syrup. Make sure to use the correct dose as advised on the bottle.
