Q.

teething?

Which teeth come out first? My little boy' s gums are very swollen and he doesnt sleep at night, just cries, only doses off when he is in my arms.
It feels like the gums where the eye teeth will be are more swollen and when you put your fingers in his mouth, he bites on the sides, not the front.

The first teeth to appear are usually the lower incisors [the 2 middle teeth on the lower jaw]This usually occurs at around 6 months of age but can be very variable.

Hi Chanty, the middle bottom tooth is supposed to come out first. But baby' s all differ...Are you using something for his gums...Ashton and Parsons, Teejel?? And get some Calpol syrup for him, give it to him at night before he goes to bed....and if necessary during the day - read the pamflet. Baby' s need lots of love and attention now, but I would spoil him by letting him sleep in my arms....unless he' s used to that and it doesn' t bother you, than do what works for you.
Good luck
