Q.

TB

hi.. my baby is 19months old, he has benn pretty ill from birth but he his much better now. he suffered from dehydration, bowel problems, he had 5 blood transfusions. but now he is fine.
however he suffers from canker sores and he isnt gaining weight, he drinks a lot of milk though. hardly ever eats solids.
he had pneumonia and is now in hospital for it agin. doctors found a lymph node in his lung and his monocytes are 1.1. so they suspect tb! can this be curable? he had his tonsils removed too.
is this something serious or not?

TB in children is mostly very responsive to treatment, so it is curable. It seems from reading tyour letter that your little boy has very poor immune protection. Has his immunity been tested? Please have this done.
