Q.

Swollen under ear

I have an 4 year old son. He woke up this morning with sore throat and it is swollen under his ear and cheek...He says it is sore when he opens his mouth. His throat aren''t red or anything..What could this be?

It is difficult to be sure about this. One strong possibility is that he has mumps. Another more worrying possible cause is a severe tonsil infection such as a possible tonsil abscess. Your son must be seen by a doctor as sson as possible so that a proper diagnosis can be made.

Took him to doctor swelling went down. Doc said he is fine...
