swollen glands in neck

Hi, I have a 7 year old daughter and she often gets swollen glands on the side of her neck. She''s been for blood tests and they have come back fine, there was concern that the glands shouldn''t be swollen. I''ve noticed twice already that these appear when she has an infection. The last time she was on antibiotics and the next week they were back again. I am concerned that these glands keep gettng swollen and even after she has been on antibiotics they keep coming back. Can you suggest why these appear so often and she I need to take her to a specialist to have it checked out. She does have allergies to pollens, fungi, mould, peanuts, culf this be a contributing factor.

I am concerned about your daughter having these swollen glands at her age. Allergies do not cause swollen glands, so allergies as a cause can be ruled out.She may have a form of glandular fever. Whatever the reason or cause for her swollen glands your daughter certainly needs to be seen by a paediatrician.
