Q.

swine flu vaccine

Hi Doc, I want to take my 3yr 2month old son for the H1N1 vaccine tomorrow. I just want to know he is a bit chesty not very much and he has a runny nose - no fever or complaints, treating it with acc200 and saline in the nose.
Can this injection be given with these symptoms?
I don''t want to take chances with this.

Thank you for reading this, and I will await you reply.

You are welcome. Your son may not need this injection now that it is late in the winter. If you decide to go ahead and let him have the H1N1 immunisation he cannot have it while he has a runny nose which is probably due to a cold. When his cold is over then he can have the immunisation.
