Q.

Swimming during winter

Hi Professor,

I would like to take my 3 year old son swimming in a heated indoor pool during winter. As soon as we are finished, we shower and dry our hair. We dress warmly when we exit the gym.

Can he pick up a cold this way or only through a virus? Do you think it is a good idea?

Swimming is always a healthy exercise and in many Northern hemisphere countries children swim in heated indoor swimming pools throughout the year.It seems that you are well prepared for his swimming lessons so I hope that he enjoys himself.
