sweating. chills, cough &  vomiting in 2 1/2 toddler

my son recently started coughing excessively from creche and always vomits once he coughs. Ive noticed that he now sweats a lot but also getting chills on his body. I took him 2 the dr 2days ago n he was diagnosed with ear n chest infection and given an antibiotic, cough syrup n myprodol. Now, im a bit worried as he now sweats excessively &  his tshirts literally gets wet n i have 2 change it, sneezing, runny nose, coughs &  vomits phlegm &  food every now evrytime he eats. Should i take him back 2 the dr, what causes these excessive sweats &  chills at the same time, what causes this non stop coughing &  vomiting? Weve tried giving him aculod 2 stop vomiting but he throws it up. Please help, worried mom

Your little son almost certainly has whooping cough. Antibiotics will not cure this condition. Please take him back to your paediatrician and inform him/her about this diagnosis.

Has he not got a temperature?

If so, give him some panado. Dress him in just his nappy.

Give him lots of fluids to drink, even if you drip them into his mouth with a syringe. Doing it that way, they are less likely to be vomited up.
