Sweating

Good morning Doc,

My 2yr old son, sweats a lot, when he''s eating, playing, sleeping during the and at night, the pillow, sheet and his clothes, everything will be wet...since he was 9months or so but I see it''s getting worse when he grows up

Nb: His father has the same problem, could be a genetic thing or what could be wrong?

Thanks

This excess sweating you describe is very common in some babies and young children. It is thought to be due to their temperature control system being immature and is still developing. It usually disappears as a problem before the age of 3 years.Sometimes this excess sweating can be a life-long problem and this tendency can be inherited, but this is not common.
