Swallowing food

Hi doc

Please assist my daughter is 26 months old, whatever I give her most of the time she doesn''t chew she just swallows without chewing. My worry is even if its rice and mince meat she doesn''t chew. She only eats that when she is with her nany.

For me I only manage to feed her 2 minutes nooldes, weet bix, p orridge etc. Anything else she will take it out from her mounth without swallowing.

Please advice.

Your little girl does not like the texture of certain foods and still would like to eat only soft foods. She cannot continue to eat 2 minute noodles and porridge only so you will need to mash her food well until she seems ready to start eating more coarse food.Be sure to give her a good mixed diet.It is important to let her feed herself.
