Q.

Suspected candida rash

Dear Doc

My son is 3 months old. We suspect that he has a candida rash in the front part of his nappy area. The rash consists of various red areas which looks rather " ugly" .

I have applied Canesten for a few days and then switched to Nystatin as per your suggestion. I have not noticed much improvement at all. I have used the Nystatin for about a week now.

Should I try Antipeol before consulting with a Paediatrician? I will only manage to get an appointment with the Paediatrician next week.

Thank you

Yes it is a good idea to try Antipeol nappy cream first.
