Q.

Supplements

Dear Doc

My daughter is 9 months old. Apart from us having to treat her for exzema rashes, she is well and healthy. She is on NAN HA, rice cereal as well as fruits and vegetables.

I have stumbled across an " eye-q"  pamphlet in the local pharmacy which suggests that babies over 6 months that are no longer being breastfed should receive this supplement of omega 3 and 6. Should I be giving my daugher this daily supplement?

Also, I have heard that it is good to give a baby a few drops of Reuteri drops for a few days each month to build the baby' s immune system. is this correct - should I be doing this?

I am quite willing and prepared to give me baby necessary supplements, but am naturally cautious and don' t want to give her something that I should not.

Many thanks,
Syl

Your baby is on an excellent diet and does not need any additional supplements.
