Hi Doc

My boy of 2.5 mnths started this new tendency of stuttering. He is not speaking full sentences yet, but there are words like MMMMommy, Bbbbee, Bbbbbarney etc that he struggles with. What do I have to do to help him along or why is this so?

My other challenge to get him from the dummy. Ive tried snipping off the tip of the dummy. He screams blue murder. Had him at the doctor again this morning for throat infection.
I have also noticed the shaping of his top front teeth, it seems like he has an over-bite already.

Many thanks

Stuttering in this age group is very common and is usually only a temporary problem. If his stuttering continues for longer than another 3 months then he should be seen by a speech therapist.Continue cutting off the tip of your son's dummy, only very thin slices each time. His teeth shape is probably due to his sucking on his dummy.
