Q.

Strange behaviour

Dear Dr,

My 8month old daughter constantly pulls her bibs and tops until either the bib tears off or her clothes are big enough to fit me. I made sure that she' s not hot, nothing' s scratching... She cries when she' s dressed, but wears bottoms without trouble. I examined every single part of her body - it doesn' t seem as if she' s hurt or sensitive anywhere. And it' s been going on for a while now. Is there any reason for concern?

Thanks,
Daisy

Many children feel very uncomfortable when they are overdressed or have tight clothing around their necks. Your baby should only wear cotton clothing and cut all labels off her clothes.Be careful not to dress her too warmly when she goes to bed and don't cover her too warmly either. If her behaviour persist and especially if she shows a dislike of you touching her hands or feet ask your paediatrician to see her.
