Q.

stool colour

My baby is 5 months old, she''s still breastfeeding and takes a bottle !(Nan) when I''m at work.

Her stool is grey with some yellow normal stool colour. My question is is grey normal colour of stool? Could this be because of Nan? I stopped giving her tea and thought it was the cause of the colour.

Please advise, do I need to see a doctor for this?

This could be due to the NAN feed, but I am just a bit concerned that your baby's stool is so pale and grey in colour. The normal stool colour is due to bile secreted during the digestive process. If no bile is secreted then a baby's stools can be grey to chalky white in colour. It would be best, just as a precaution, to ask your doctor to see your baby and to do tests for bilirubin levels in your baby's blood.
