Herpes stomatitis is not a sexually transmitted disease. It is fairly common in young children and causes painful mouth ulcers which uusally last for about 10 days then clear up.Apply Teejel gel to the ulcers in his mouth. Give your son a liquid diet, nothing that is too hot.Jelly and ice cream are vey soothing foods as well.He must drink a lot. If he cannot drink he may become dehydrated and you will need to take him to see his doctor.
