Q.

Stomach pain

Hi Dr. I have a silly question.

My daughter is 4 years old and on occassion she will come and say she has a " headache"  or a " stomach ache."

What can i give her for a stomach ache/headache and what should i look for to know whats wrong and ensure nothing serious.

(dont want anything serious - she had emergency inguinal hernia at 3 months)

Thanks

This type of complaint at this age when your child looks well and does not have a fever is usually due to a bit of attention seeking or separation anxiety. Sometimes there is something at school that may be worrying her.Just listen to her and give her a few hugs and lots of love.
