Q.

Stil / stopane and allergex

Good day. I would like to find out, is it safe to give my little boy (10 months, weighing 12kg) still/stopane AND allergex? I give him still/stopane at night to help with his teething (5ml) and his Dr told me to give him 3ml (i think - dont have the bottle here) allergex at night and a nose spray 3 times a day as he has a bit of allergies. Is it safe to give him both? Thank you

Neither of these medicines should be given to your baby. Allergex is not permitted for children under 2 years of age. Stopayne contains codeine which causes constipation and may cause dependency. You can use the saline nose drops. If you need to give your baby something for pain use Panado or Calpol syrup but only when necessary.
