Q.

Sterimar/Salex for a blocked nose &  use of STODAL

Which would be better to help babies with a blocked nose?

My boy has had a blocked nose for a week now. Has also been coughing &  has thrown up a few times. He has a post nasal drip. He was prescribed Stodal &  we were advised not to give him meds. For how long can he continue having stodal? Is there anything else that I could give him for the cough?

Stodal is a safe cough syrup but should not be given to children under 2 years of age. You have not mentioned your son's age.Stodal contains an ingredient called ipecac which may aggravate your son's vomiting.Salex should help his blocked nose and is very safe.
