Q.

Staying dry at night - 4 year old boy

My boy turned 4 yesterday and still needs a nappy at night, although dry during the day since age two. Is that normal?

Paediatrician

This is very common indeed. You may help him by starting him on star chart now with a small reward after each period when he gets to 5 dry nights in a row.Explain to him that he will get a star each night that he remains dry and that he will only get a reward when he goes 5 dry nights in a row.If he is still wetting his bed by the age of 5 years he should be seen by a paediatrician.
