Q.

starting solids

When is the best time to start solids and what food should you start with? I have heard rice cereal is best, but many say that it tastes awful and you should start with cereal that tastes nice or to try vegies first. What do you recommend? How much food? and how often?

Many thanks
Tracey

This question comes up very commonly. Start with a rice cereal followed by a fruit such as apple or pear in addition and then start a vegetable.

The Cerelac rice cereal tastes VERY nice. I also love it. I even use that to mix with other foods if she doesn' t want to eat something else. But the Cerelac already has milk in, so if your baby is allergic to milk they can' t have it.
