Sprained wrist?? in 1 year old

Hi Doc,
My 1 year old daughter likes to play in a blow up pool (no water in it just toys) and she goes in and out, usually with no problems. She is not walking yet. She came out of the pool and landed funny on her left arm on Saturday morning. She is not crawling propery now and instead of putting weight on her wrist she scoots. If I turn her hand over to play " round and round the garden like a teddy bear"  she is uncomfortable and cries. She can still use her had to manipulate toys and eat though. However its been three days now and she is not better. I have been giving her peadiatric nurofen for anti-immlamtories. As breaks are quite rare in babies, how long shoudl I wait until I decide to take her for an x-ray? Thanks in advance,

Your baby may have sprained her left wrist, but it is very difficult to rule out a fracture without taking an XRay. As your baby seems to have ongoing tenderness of her left wrist and arm she should be seen by a doctor and an XRay should be taken.
