Childhood Diseases

Hi Again
First of all thank you for the advice regarding my son re: ADD. I am now ''bathing'' him in Omega 3 :)
Another challenge has appeared on my 3 year old daughter. for approx. 6 or 7 months now she has developed 7-8 spots in the crease of her elbow. For the past 4 months she has developed 3-4 spot on her right cheek as well as one on her forehead (hairline).
Just yesterday we found one on her back as well as the back of her leg.
The spots on her elbow tend to blister if we do not put oil on her after a bath or swimming. The others on the rest of her body are a bit harder. The spots are not more than a mm in diameter. I have made an appointment with a dermatologist but was hoping to get a heads up before going to see him next week.
She recently had chicken pox (about a month ago) but fortunately very lightly.

Thank you, you are very welcome. It is difficult to be sure about your daughter's rash without being able to see her.My first impression is that she has developed a rash caused by a virus infection of the skin which is aclled 'molluscum' or more correctly 'molluscum contagiosum .Look at pictures of this condition on Google.

Hi Doctor

I have Googled molluscum contagiosum and found the pictures as well as some excellent information re: the virus.
I believe that you are spot on (pardon the pun) with the diagnosis as the pictures do resemble the condition my daughter seems to have very closely.
Thanks so much again.
Kind Regards.
