Q.

Spegma

My son has a spegma lump on the top of his penis. You can only see if you retract his penis a little bit. When ever i do it ( not a lot just to see if the bump still there) then he says eina. Should i be concerned. Or is it in general a little bit sore when you retrac it?
I dont force it , just pull it back a little.

thanks for your help

This is probaly perfectly normal. Do not pull the foreskin back. Just wash him gently.

Hi Lisl,

You need not be concerned about either the smegma or the reaction of your son when you retract him.

The smegma will flush out in time as your son urinates. This lump is probably being formed (and more like it) as the foreskin and glans separate.

It is good that you are not pulling back to hard. This can cause damage as the 2 structures are still connected. This is what is causing the pain when you retract.

Everything is normal.
