Q.

Speech: Pronunciation - concern

My son is 4 years and 4 months now and in my opinion speaks well (full sentences and understandable). However, I noticed that his pronunciation of letters using his palate (eg. l for long is pronounced " yong"  and r for run is pronounced " yun" .). I get the feeling that he struggles with the placement of his tongue in the upper area of his mouth. Should I consult a speech therapist or should I give it some time?

Your feedback would be appreciated.

Kind regards and thank you.

Thank you. You have made an excellent observation with your son's speech. He is certainly at the right age for going to see a speech therapist now.
