Q.

speech development

Hi Paed,
My daugher is 13 months and we recently went to the paed for our checkup. She does not really say a lot of words but says Da and der and ta and ca and points - I am a bit worried about her talking a bit late, apparently it should be 4 words by this age. What do you think? thanks, mom

Children often can say a few words at this age such as Mama, Dada and Ta. but we do not really expect her to use three word sentences before she is about 18 months to 2 years old.You do not need to worry about your little daughter's speech at this stage.
