I never put a subject in my post below re talking so i am not gong to be able to open to see your reply - sorry could you please post it here...thanks a mill...
Oh pss...i see u were at Red Cross for 40 years - well that hospital saved my life as i was taken in there with meningitis when i was 2...they were fabulous apparently and i was the first child do tbe helicopter lifted in an emergency situation .....about 39 years ago....

You are correct children of 18 months do not use sentences as such but usually can put two or three words together eg 'mama kyk daar'.
