Sore Tummy

Hi Dr

My son is 2 years 2 months, for a few days now he has been saying that his tummy is sore. Now i dont know if he is telling " stories"  or if it is really sore. He sometimes has gas or goes for a no. 2 a while later. He is acting normal, well, doesnt appear to have a sore tummy. He says his tummy is sore cause the mosquito bit him. How can i tell if his tummy is really sore.

Children of this age have difficulty in 'localising' pain. This means that they are usually unable to tell you exactly where the pain is. As he appears to be well he may just be complaining about the recent mosquito bite.Write again if your son keeps on complaining about a tummy ache.
