Q.

Sore neck

Hi Doctor

My kids were playing on the bed and the youngest fell (onto the bed) and the older one fell on top of him. Somehow his head bent quite far back and hurt his neck. The rest of the day he could hardly move his head because it was to sore. The next morning it was much better but still sore. He is however still complaining that it hurts when he bends his neck forward and backwards but not when he moves it from side to side. Should I give it time or should it be checked out (he is 6)?

Your son should be seen by a doctor. He may have fractured a vertebra in his neck.
