Sore arm and Itchy Ear

1. My daughter is 15 months old. Two weeks ago when she woke from her afternoon nap she suddenly couldn''t use her one arm. Shew cried bitterly when we touched it. or when she tried to move it. It hurt even in her sleep that evening. There was no swelling or bruising. The following afternoon before we could take her to the docter she started using the arm and stopped all the crying. It has been normal ever since. What could have happened to her as she never hurt it?

2. My daughter also has a habit of scratching into her one ear most of the time. She even tried oputting things in the year. The same ear has a bit of a damp smell. She has a bit of a cold but no fever. Could it be an infection?

The fact that your little daughter could not use her arm and appeared to be in pain is of concern. She may have had a temporary dislocation of her shoulder. She may have tripped herself and fallen. Her shoulder appears to have returned to normal by itself which is fortunate.
It is almost certain that your daughter has put something into her ear canal again, possibly a small bead. She should be seen by a doctor so that this object can be removed from her ear.
