son''s blocked nose

i am so desperate! my son is suffering from a blocked nose for the past month. no saline, no nasal sprays, no humidifier nothing is working. i have even changed his formula to Similac Alimentum, not even that is working. he is 5 months old, in a creche, and is only having cereal and purity butternut, carrot or sweet potato additional to his milk! what can cause his blocked nose? he could eat yesterday due to him not being able to breathe. PLEAAASSSEEEE HELP!

Your baby does indeed have a seriously blocked nose which does not respond to the usual safe treatments such as nasal saline drops. This does not appear to be due to an allergy. He is unable to feed because of his very blocked nose. I suspect that he has enlarged adenoids causing his blocked nose.He must be seen by an ENT specialist ASAP as babies have to have an open nose to sleep and feed normally.
