Son-runny tummy!

My son is 4.5 years old.He has a runny tummy now for nearly 3 weeks,he goed about 6 times a day,i gave him reuteri drops for 4 days,it got better, but yesterday i did not and the afternoon he started again,4 times before sleep and since 23h00 6 times up to 6h00 this morning. He and his little sister caught the selmonella bacteria last Nov when we attended a birthday where the fingerfoods were left outside the fridge since the morning(i didnt eat anything)Anyway took them a months to recover, severe diarree and cramps and fever.# antibiotics and hospital stay later!
We visited their Pediatrician last Monday and we took a pooh sample to the LAB.Well, the docs offices said their no sign of anything in the pooh,no blood,no nothing. But he was away on a seminar. So what am i suppose to do now??His behind is so red already i cant even wipe it properly ,so sore it is.And the lack of sleep is getting to us!
Can i give him immodiums and reuteri drops, for a few days and see how it goes or what do i do,this is really taking to long to be normal!!!

Salmonella is a serious infection to have had. It is also often very difficult to treat and to get rid of.Your son still appears to be ill and I am worried about him . Give him the probiotic daily in the meantime and give him Rehidrat to drink even if he only takes small sips very frequently.Take him back to the paediatrician as soon as he returns. Another stool sample must be sent off. If necessary your son may need to see a paediatric gastroenterologist.
