Son (7) needs to go to toilet constantly

Son (7) needs to go to toilet constantly. Did urine test and glucose tests and all is normal. No infection. What can be the cause of this. He says it feels like he''s got a big one and when he goes, it is just little bits at a time

The usual cause of this complaint in children is either a urinary system infection or diabetes. These possibilities have been more or less ruled out with the tests done so far. It is still necessary to repeat these tests and to look for unusual causes of urinary sytem infection. Your son's symptoms are so significant that it would be best for him to be seen by a paediatric nephrologist [expert on kidney and urinary system conditions] as soon as possible.

I just watched a program recently where a little girl had the same symptoms and eventualy- after years a vision started to double and then she got extreme headaches. It was a tumour on her brain - the part that controls thirst and urine - the hormones part.

Mention it to yr dr and ask for more tests to exclude it.

I had the same situation with my son - he was 11/ 12 years old - we ended up having him circumcised.....and the problem was gone.
