Q.

SON 3YEARS OLD

Dear Dr my son breathes very heavy thats the way he has always been he is not sick that is flu etc but I am now concerned whether that breathing is normal
my pead told me to be concerned when the chest goes in his does that sometimes he will struggle to breathe but then he breathes again he was fine from birth This is jsut a concern of mine what do you suggest i do about it just to put my mine at ease I guess a dr would have to see him sleep to know waht i mean thanks
HE IS NOT SICK OR DOES NOT HAVE FLU HE JUST BREATHS HEAVY AND SNORES AND SOMETIMES STOPS BREATHING PLEASE WHAT DO YUO SUGGEST THANKS

This is a very important question.The main point here is that your son snores and stops breathing. This is called sleep apnoea and is a dangeroud condition for children. Your son must have a very blocked nose probably due to enlarged adenoids. He must be seen by an ENT specialist as soon as possible.
