Dear Doc,
My son is 2 yrs 6 months,he was born with a short foreskin, but now his penis looks rather small...i took him to a eurogist when he was 1 yr old as per his pediatrician, and he confirmed that all is in place, they both (dr''s)did not say anything about the size. we are doing potty training and there isn''t much to hold on to when i try to teach him how to hold his penis to pee like a boy.when he has an erection it does look normal, l just know what it should look like as he is my 1st baby, and the 1st in my family to be born like that, so my mom can''t help me either.

There is no need for concern. The penis often has this appearance in very young boys when it tends to be 'retractile' or pulls back up and gives the impression of being small. This is entirely normal and the appearance of his penis in size will return to normal as your son gets older. The penis may also appear to be quite small in young boys who are a bit overweight.

Hi Mali

My son is the same age as your son and has the same problem. I was also a bit worried. Thanks for the response doc. At least our minds are a bit at ease now.
