son (10) contaminated with fungus/fungi in his lungs?

my son has currently flu and i used a nebuliser to steam his airways (due to continued coughing (currently on antibiotics)). i was shocked yesterday to pick up black ' spots'  in the saline solution that i' m currently using in the nebuliser - it seems like fungus/fungi growed in the solution - which means that he has inhaled a contiminated saline solution - will this harm his lungs? might it dangerous? do i need to go and see a specialist to maybe subscribe something to kill the fungus/fungi if it might start ' growing'  inside his lungs?? went to the pharmacy where i bought the saline - they said i don' t need to worry, as nebuliser breaks up the saline in very fine spray...?

Yes, you are correct. This is a fungus which has contaminated your nebuliser. In most cases it will not be dangerous. It is best to throw away all the contaminated plastic tubing including the container where you put the medicines and also the face mask. Get a completely new set to replace all of these contaminated parts. You do not need to take your son to be seen by a doctor but you must not nebulise him again using any contaminated parts with the nebuliser.
