solids at 3 months

My 3 month old son was 3.6 at birth and now weighs 6.8 KG. He has some discomfort with acid reflux - is on medication for this. He does not sleep for more than 4 hours in first stretch of night and then sometimes wakes hourly after that - I am breast feeding at night and during soem day feeds and giving 1-2 feeds in day with formula instead (am slowly weaning him to bottle). I was at his Paediatrician for his 3 month check-up and he said i can now start my son on solids - starting with 1-2 spoons of cereal a day.... I have not done it yet as despite what he said, I see so much saying i should not give a 3 month old baby solids... what do u think?

I think that you should wait until your baby is at least 4 months old before starting him on solids. The extra food in his tummy may aggravate his reflux.
